How did you start coaching children and young people? 

Since I was a child I loved soccer and that's how I started, my career at the University drove me and I focused on sports training, when I finished my career, I thought about working in the preparation of children and young people in the sports disciplines of swimming and soccer in the municipality of Marquetalia (Caldas), I still continue with the training and preparation of this beautiful town,  since it is a break from routine and where they are learning for life. 

Why are you passionate about putting children first in sport? 

I am passionate about working with them, as they are very grateful and enthusiastic about what they do. Sport has been my passion since I was very young, it was always a way to express myself and be who I am without prejudice. Growing up surrounded by and interacting with sport, I have witnessed the positive impact it can have on communities and people's lives. 

What would be your main advice for other people who work with young people in sport? 

Working with children and young people is very rewarding, since they focus on what they want, are passionate about and yearn for, so it is easy to focus and guide them in sports disciplines.
