On 11 September, ICOACHKIDS was honoured to deliver a workshop titled Player-Centred Coaching and Safeguarding in Talent Development in partnership with FIFA as part of the FIFA Talent Coach Workshop held in Zurich.
The session was delivered by Gary Hodgson and Tom Mitchell from the Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University. Together, they facilitated an engaging and interactive workshop with a cohort of talented and inquisitive coaches, exploring how player-centred approaches and strong safeguarding practices can support effective talent development.
The workshop formed part of the wider FIFA Talent Coach Workshop programme, bringing together coaches from across the world to share ideas, learn from one another and strengthen their approaches to developing young players.
ICOACHKIDS would like to thank FIFA for their continued collaboration and support. The team looks forward to seeing the ongoing impact of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme in supporting coaches and creating better development environments for young footballers worldwide.
