How did I get into coaching children and young people?

“Thanks to the wonderful lecturers at the Lithuanian Sports University, I began this journey – they provided not only a wealth of knowledge but also the motivation to work with children, bringing new colors, positive emotions, and joy into their training sessions.”

Why am I passionate about putting kids first in sport?

“For me, a child’s emotions come first. I care deeply that every child gets to experience the joy of movement and sport. Sport and physical activity are not just about strict discipline or the pursuit of victory – they are about emotional and physical well-being, which are essential foundations for a quality life.”

Austė’s Top Tips for Youth Sport Coaches:

  • Every child is incredibly unique, and that’s why every coach should see each one as an individual and help them discover their own path in sport with love and joy.

  • Let’s not forget to improvise, to bring happiness, and to inspire belief and hope – because within every young athlete lies the potential to grow into a true champion!
